30-Year Police Officer Aaron Paul Announces Campaign for Minnesota House Serving Shakopee

Shakopee, MN — Longtime public servant and current police sergeant, Aaron Paul,  announced today his candidacy for the Minnesota House of Representatives, pledging to bring common-sense leadership and accessible representation to the people of Shakopee.

“Shakopee families are looking for leaders who will put the focus back on public service, not the extremes,” said Paul, “Families, students, educators, seniors, workers, and small business owners want someone who is authentic, accessible, willing to listen, and committed to bringing people together to create solutions to our shared priorities.”

With 30 years of experience in law enforcement, Paul has dedicated his career to keeping communities safe, mentoring young officers, and building trust between law enforcement and residents. He says his campaign will focus on the issues that matter most to Shakopee families: strong schools and quality education, affordable housing and childcare, continuing to support law enforcement and public safety, tackling the rampant fraud and abuse in our community, lower property taxes, and reducing the political divide by bringing people together.

Calling this one of the most competitive races in the state, decided by just 15 votes in the last election, Paul emphasized his commitment to listening to all voices and delivering real results.

Aaron and his wife have proudly called Shakopee home for over 25 years, where they raised their three children and remain deeply involved in the community.
